How I Got Started
After working at various corporations (GEICO, The BDM Corporation and The Acacia Group) for about 20 years, I decided to begin working as a Financial Advisor with Legg Mason in 1997. Looking at the demographics of the United States, it became clear to me that I could and should help some of the 76 million baby boomers with their investment and financial planning needs. My CPA experience and MBA Degree prepared me to help individuals and business owners identify and meet their comprehensive financial planning and investment goals.
Services Offered
My practice includes the following - personal financial planning for retirement, asset allocation analysis, investment portfolio management, education planning, risk protection, and liability management. Portfolio management includes how to allocate assets among mutual funds, tax-free bonds and separately managed accounts. In addition, we work with corporations and non-profits to design and implement retirement plans. As a Financial Advisor with Smith Barney, I am able to utilize a vast team of experts with insurance, tax-planning, and lending experience when necessary.
Specialized Training and Professional Designations
All licenses and registrations required in providing comprehensive financial planning advice. This includes registration with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), state securities and insurance licenses. I am also a Certified Public Accountant, Masters of Business Administration, and Retirement Plan Consultant.
Volunteer Activities
I serve as Vice President for Small Business and Executive Committee member with the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. I am an active member in Boys Scouts of America, and I coach for youth boys’ basketball.
Personal Information
I’m married with a 10 year-old son, John, whose hobbies include basketball, running and bike riding.
